“In developing our quote list page, we meticulously centered our efforts on user-driven research to ensure we captured the essential data points that users deemed critical throughout the entire lifecycle of a quote. Our comprehensive analysis revealed that users primarily sought visibility into key stages such as quote conversions, status updates (submitted, won, or lost), and the integration of follow-up tasks to re-engage with sales opportunities when necessary. We’ve designed the quote list page to not only display these pivotal metrics clearly but also to enhance user experience by providing intuitive navigation and actionable insights, enabling our users to make informed decisions and drive successful outcomes efficiently.”A product quoting tool can benefit both a business and its customers by providing a simple and efficient way to obtain pricing information for products. Dashboard
The Quoting Dashboard serves as an invaluable tool for employees to gain insights into the life cycle status of quotes within the sales pipeline. Stemming from customer requests, this dashboard offers a comprehensive view of the performance metrics crucial for sales efficiency and effectiveness. One of the standout features is the clear differentiation between quotes that have been won versus those that have been lost, providing a snapshot of the team’s success rate. Further deepening the analysis, the dashboard showcases the average discount extended per quote, giving insights into the company’s pricing flexibility and strategy. Another pivotal metric displayed is the average conversation time, shedding light on the duration it typically takes to convert a quote to a sale. This holistic overview not only aids in performance evaluation but also offers actionable insights for refining and optimizing the sales process.
Creating a Quote
We are offering our users the ability to create quotes that can be assigned to multiple customers, giving them more options in their quoting process.
Quote List
To compile a thorough list of quotes, we conducted extensive research to identify the essential and commonly requested data points that encompass the entire quote life-cycle. This encompassed data on conversions, submissions, wins, losses, and any follow-up activities assigned to pursue sales opportunities.
One use case was:
As a sales rep, I create 30-40 quotes daily and use the “follow-up” feature to keep track of my commitments. However, the UI lacked categorization and search capabilities, making it hard to locate the quote for a scheduled follow-up call. So we revamped the “follow-up” feature to be more user-friendly and tailored to high-frequency users. User feedback emphasized the importance of making the feature prominent and user-centric. The aim was to help sales reps manage their schedules more effectively and ensure no sales opportunity slips through the cracks.
Quote – Details
The Quote Detail Page for Rexel USA is designed with meticulous attention to detail, catering to the needs of both their valued customers and dedicated sales team. The system assigns a customer account and corresponding cash account based on the chosen shipping location or pickup point. This ensures accurate and personalized pricing, based on the account’s standing or credit line while highlighting Rexel’s commitment to offering specialized pricing structures.
Quote – Product
This section boasts features such as standard pricing for products and the ability to accommodate custom write-ins for bespoke requests. To enhance the user experience and organization, products can be grouped, and there’s a provision for product lots, making it easier to handle bulk requests. This streamlined approach ensures that the quote generation process is efficient and tailored to each customer’s individual needs.
